Skullhunter's Diary was founded as a solo project in 2009 and the first self produced EP was released on the indie-label Human to Dust. After a change of location and various different members, the final lineup got together in 2015 in Osnabrück, Germany.
First live concerts were played, before in 2016 the EP "Beyond a Mortal Being" was recorded by Stefan Siekkötter at Hell's Kitchen Studio, Osnabrück.
In March 2017, the recordings for the concept album "Chapter I - The Rise of the Unknown" began at Stage One Studio and were finished after mixing and mastering by Norbert Leitner in late 2017.
The album deals with a journey into the self of the protagonist, his inner struggle and his transformation into the dark hunter who is the band's eponym.
