Описание к видео The FIRST Civic Si : 1986 Honda 3G Civic Tachometer Fix, Ignitor, Coil

My 1986 Civic Si is a fantastic driver, but the tachometer started acting erratically, bounced around, and then stopped responding. In this video, I'm going to show you how I fixed it, which wound up being a lot of trial and error!

Shoutout to Broderik down in Guatamala w a super clean 3g Civic Si, he reached out with a similar tach issue and I promised I'd hit him back when I figured this out! Check out his sick 3g Civic SI on his IG here:   / ah5_broderik98
Thank you for sharing those electrical diagrams, man, and buy a new coil, lol!

This is my 1986 Honda Civic Si, the first year of the Civic Si available in the United States, representing an awesome combination of economy, utility, reliability, and a giant dollop of fun. I'm doing a few things to it to get it dialed in, and the first issue is my dead tachometer. It started acting sporadically a few years ago, then stopped working entirely.

This car was originally owned by a lady out in Oregon, so it's 100% rust free, and not modified, & 100% stock. Technically I am the third owner, the second owner had it shipped from Oregon out to the midwest, and he only owned it a few months before a move forced him to sell it.

I also purchased a 90 Si a few months ago, so I'm going to be fixing a few things on this 86, then doing an indepth video comparing and contrasting the EA to the EF chassis.

I have too many cars, which one would you choose to keep, the 86 or the 90?
