It does not have to be plastic all the time

When we find ourselves on a beach, we always find things. And when we do, the first thing that comes to our mind is, what could we use this for.
So this time I think it was worth it to share with you what we came up with.
On an other note. We have been away from civilization for over eight month now. Our last visit in a store or restaurant was in the first week of march (yes .. 2020). But this does not necessarily mean that we live without any luxury. We just have to create it ourselves.

Guide line for eight Pretzels

500 gr Flour
2 dl Milk
1 dl Wasser
1 TeaSp Salt
1 TableSp Sugar
1 TeaSp Dry Yeast
1 TableSp Oil (optional)
extra flour to mix in
1 lt Water for the brine
50 gr Baking Soda Bicarbonate

Corse Salt OR Sesame seeds OR Parmiggiano
for the topping (or what ever you come up with)

Procedure

mix flour and salt
add sugar, yeast and oil
bring milk/water mixture to body temperature
add the liquid and stir it to a lump of dough
On the table kneed and add flour until the dough
is not sticky anymore
Cover it to keep it from drying and let it raise for one hour
Form the Pretzels and let them rest again 10 minutes
In the meantime bring one liter of water to a boil
Add the baking soda and turn down the heat
Put pretzels in the brine for 30 seconds, then turn
them and wait another 30 seconds
Put them on a baking sheet WITH BAKING PAPER
Put the topping on
Bake at about 200° C for 20 minutes
(The time depends much on your oven, please check)
