This charger design uses a commercial off the shelf DC-DC buck converter to regulate both the charging current and charging voltage thereby making this a universal charger, in the sense that it can be used to recharge various types of battery chemistries or designs such as, Lithium Phosphate, Lithium-ion, Lead-acid, AGM, and many more.
