Cetatea de Piatra (Cetatea Chioarului) (1318-1718) Maramures-Romania

Cetatea Chioarului este situata in Judetul Maramures pe malul Lapusului la o altitudine de 500m. Ruinele Cetății Chioarului sunt la 8 kilometri distanță din satul Berchezoaia, sat ce aparține de Remetea Chioarului.
Cetatea este alcatuita din doua cetati: Cetatea mare la est si cetatea mica la vest legate intre ele cu un culoar inconjurat de ziduri si o incinta exterioara.
Cetatea are o vechime mai mare de 700 ani si a fost construita peste o cetate dacica. Reconstructia digitala este reprezentarea aproximativa din perioada sec. XIV-XVII.
Cetatea a apartinut nobililor romani din Maramures inca din 1318. Tinutul din jurul cetatii cu satele aferente ei si cu populatia majoritar romaneasca s-a numit pentru mult timp si Tara Chioarului.
Cetatea şi satele aparţinătoare cetatii au fost detinute in 1378 de voievozii români Balc şi Drag din Maramureş, care aveau atunci o mare autoritate politică în zonă. În 1566, este atestat faptul că Țara Chioarului era împărţită în voievodate româneşti.
Districtul Chioarului un ţinut de o mie de kilometri pătraţi în jurul vechii cetăţii, ajunge in anul 1650 sa aiba peste 120 de sate total romanesti.
De-a lungul timpului a aparținut și comitatului de Satu Mare sau de Sălaj iar în cea mai mare parte a timpului a fost o țară de sine stătătoare.
Cetatea a facut fata incursiunii tatare din 1241, aparand tinutul si ne putand fi cucerita.
In decursul istoriei cetatea a fost cucerita de doua ori pentru scurt timp de catre polonezi. Cei care au aparat-o au devenit nobilii de mai tarziu si s-au format 14 sate de nobili ai zonei.
Mai tarziu cetatea a fost atacata de austrieci, dar nu au reusit s-o cucereasca.
Cetatea a fost distrusa definitiv in 1718 datorita incendiului produs la depozitul de praf de pusca din interiorul cetatii.
Cetatea a fost aproape două secole proprietatea voievozilor maramureșeni și abia când se stinge ultimul dintre Drăgoșești, cetatea intră în proprietatea Batoreștilor. După 1600, devine proprietatea principilor Transilvaniei. Mai tarziu cetatea a fost dăruită Regelui Ferdinand în 1920 și a intrat în domeniul regal.


Chioar Fortress (1318-1718) Maramures-Romania

Chioar Fortress is located in Maramures County on the banks of the Lapus River at an altitude of 500m. The ruins of Chioar Fortress are 8 kilometers away from the village of Berchezoaia, a village belonging to Remetea Chioarului.
The fortress is made up of two fortresses: the Big Fortress to the east and the small fortress to the west, connected by a corridor surrounded by walls and an outer enclosure.
The fortress is more than 700 years old and was built over a Dacian fortress. The digital reconstruction is an approximate representation from the 14th-17th centuries.
The fortress belonged to the Romanian nobles of Maramures since 1318. The land around the fortress with its villages and the majority Romanian population was called the Chioar Land for a long time.
The fortress and the villages belonging to the fortress were owned in 1378 by the Romanian voivodes Balc and Drag from Maramureş, who then had great political authority in the area. In 1566, it is attested that the Chioar Land was divided into Romanian voivodeships.
The Chioar District, a land of one thousand square kilometers around the old fortress, reaches in 1650 to have over 120 completely Romanian villages.
Over time, it also belonged to the Satu Mare or Sălaj counties, and for most of that time it was an independent country.
The fortress withstood the Tatar incursion in 1241, defending the land and preventing it from being conquered.
Throughout history, the fortress was conquered twice for a short time by the Poles. Those who defended it later became the nobles and 14 noble villages of the area were formed.
Later, the fortress was attacked by the Austrians, but they failed to conquer it.
The fortress was permanently destroyed in 1718 due to a fire at the gunpowder warehouse inside the fortress.
The fortress was the property of the Maramureş voivodes for almost two centuries, and only when the last of the Drăgoșești died out, did the fortress become the property of the Batoresti. After 1600, it became the property of the princes of Transylvania. Later, the fortress was given to King Ferdinand in 1920 and entered the royal domain.

The project is a real scale model based on old documents, topographic and archaeological maps, inscriptions and drawings from the respective periods were used, maintaining the necessary accuracy as much as possible.
