Gay Sailor Moon Transformation

A live-action love letter & parody honouring Sailor Moon and her iconic "Moon Prism Power, Make Up" transformation.

I made this video the summer of 2019. At the time, I was bleaching my hair at home (groundbreaking) and thought that it would be funny to post a "transformation" reveal on Instagram lol. And guess what... it was a hit, baby!!

I made all of the background images, graphics, and textures in Photoshop, and then edited everything together using Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro. I struggled a LOT at first animating with After Effects and ultimately ended up stitching everything together like a stop motion video (I went frame by frame and tried to mimic the placement of different textures and sparkles). Anyway, enjoy the video! It was a great learning experience for editing and I'm pretty happy with the end result.
