How To change the oil on a Sea-Doo, you can follow these steps:
1. Remove old oil
Use a fluid extractor or manual vacuum suction pump to remove the old oil through the dipstick tube. You can also use an empty oil jug as a catch pan.
2. Remove oil filter cover and old oil filter
Use an E-8 external torx driver to remove the oil filter cover and old oil filter. The number of bolts to remove depends on the model:
Most models: One bolt
Sea-Doo Spark PWC: Three bolts
C2 Spark: Three bolts
3. Replace oil filter
Lightly oil the new oil filter ring and O-ring(s) with fresh oil. Reinstall the oil filter cover and torque bolts to 9 N·m ± 1 N·m (80 lbf·in ± 9 lbf·in).
4. Coat mating surface
In saltwater areas, coat the mating surface of the cover with grease.
Sea-Doos should have their oil changed every 50–100 hours, or after one year of use, whichever comes first. The Sea-Doo SPARK can go up to 100 hours between oil changes.
