A note from the Composer:
Journey was composed in memory of my friend Max Ishida, who passed tragically on August 25, 2023. He was an inspiration to me and those around me. His thoughtful and gentle demeanor was rare and unique to him, and I truly believe that his essence touched many around him. Some people in the world have the special ability to create ripple effects of kindness that reach far beyond their scope, and Max was one of them. Not only did his character touch our hearts, his music also still resonates within us, and I believe that his music will be passed on and on even while his spirit has left us. Journey is a memoir to that idea. It starts with his entrance into the world, then flows into his interactions with the world, the ripples of music and joy he left behind. It shows the parting of his soul from our world, and his music playing on, still echoing through ours.
