(26 Apr 2018) China's commerce ministry on Thursday called on the United States to "discard unilateralism and protectionism" amid prolonged trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.
Spokesperson Gao Feng also noted that Chinese firms had slowed investments in the US in light of the ongoing trade spat that has raised concerns.
The US and China are entangled in their most consequential trade dispute since World War II.
Both countries have proposed tariffs of 50 billion US dollars on each other's products; Trump is looking to impose tariffs of up to 100 billion US dollars more on Chinese goods.
