STORYLINE:

Several nudist organizations in Mexico came together on Saturday to campaign for nudism and to spread a positive message about body acceptance.

The group marched on Nude Day, sunder the motto "Removing prejudices, one piece of clothing at a time."

Francelli Renteria, who describes herself as a nudist advocate, thinks that showing the body and skin is not always erotic.

She hopes that seeing naked or semi-naked bodies will become a habit, not a reason for harassment.

Her husband, Héctor Martinez, who introduced her to the practice, said the action aimed to encourage people to strip themselves of prejudices imposed on them since childhood.

They walked over two kilometres chanting slogans and celebrating their bodies, taking advantage of one of the few occasions to promote nudity this kind of event provides since social networks are constantly censoring them.

Closing the march, they all posed for a group photo at the city's iconic Angel of Independence.
