If you’d have told me (back when 11 year old me discovered The D in a ‘You Sing The Song’ machine on a Saturday morning episode of Rage) that I’d be seeing them live - twice - in one week, I may have exploded. The Greatest Band on Earth certainly lived up to the name in Sydney on Kage’s b’day and it was certainly worth missing my Sungday deadline for. I hope you’ll all excuse the late edition.

I get to see ‪@JackBlackOfficial‬ and ‪@kylegass9760‬ tomorrow night in Newcastle too!

It seemed only fitting, given this once in a life-time grace of the Gods of Rock gift of seeing ‪@tenaciousD‬ so often on this continent, that this week’s song should be a bunch of songs at once. This medley was quite an undertaking but worth it to pay homage to the men who sing my soul’s song; even if my soul got a little tongue tied whipping across their Masterworks.

From that fateful Saturday morning, to this very day, Tenacious D remains my most cherished form of meditation - an all consuming spectacle which allows me to forget the world and Be in the power of music. I could go on, believe me…
