My first time playing this. Got maniac 1cc first try. Even though it was easy I was having fun tampering with the score system. from my understanding followers = PIV and likes = point items equivalent? there is also grazing(grazebox is surprisingly small but idm) and bullet canceling which both increase followers too. fever mode also clears the screen on activation. killing enemies while they shoot will cancel bullets around them I guess? which allows for unique strategies like cancelling bullets coming from big enemies by killing popcorns that come near it. The bosses are unique enough for me to make them replayable and you can keep trying out different stuff. The fairy world boss comes to mind because you might be able to choose which parts to kill in order but that requires more testing.

I love the way shot types were implemented allowing much more freedom and a way to compliment your own playstyle. Although I really wish the shots and missles were more distinct between characters instead of many sharing very similar ones. Everyone has forward focus in some shape or form. There could've been much more variety for example piercing shot/missles but it would be on the black neko character(forgot her name) because you'd be having such a powerful attribute but your character is fast and its harder to dodge so you are sacrificing survivability for that. idk thats just me but I will try more combinations of shots and see gor myself. Personally I feel like Alice will be the one I go for in expert because of her low speed so I can dodge more precisely. Ujako is fun and I used a PCB sakuyaB-ish setup cuz why not?


The characters despite looking really cartoonish have a distinct artstyle and are sexy in all honesty(I love the jellyfish girl and melona) and the soundtrack genre and style just sounds too familiar. I feel like I've heard this artist before but I can't put my finger on it. Either that or it's just the typical techno happy hardcore that everyone imitates from artists such as 3r2, YUC'e or even camilia + nanahira. The graphics are decent and I don't think shmups need amazing cutting edge graphics as long as clarity and good visuals are there. The bullets of course have the saidaioujou style of pointy pink bullets and blue circles if you ever have seen them.
