(4 Dec 2014) An anti-India group in Pakistan began a two day convention in Lahore on Thursday that was attended by thousands of supporters from across the country.
The Pakistan government provided a special train for many of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa supporters so they could reach the city.
On arrival they chanted "God is great" and "Jihad against India."
The United Nations (UN) considers Jamaat-ud-Dawa to be a front group for Lashkar-e-Taiba, the militant organisation blamed in the Mumbai attacks of 2008, a charge which the head of JuD, Hafiz Saeed, denies.
Saeed, who is against trade relations between India and Pakistan, will address the convention on Friday.
Saeed originally helped establish Lashkar-e-Taiba two decades ago to fight Indian rule in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir.
After the group was banned by the Pakistan government, Saeed set up an Islamic charity called Jamaat-ud-Dawa.
The US government named the charity a "foreign terrorist organisation" earlier this year, claiming it is a front for banned militants.
The organisation has also be praised however by many people in Pakistan for providing health care and humanitarian assistance to those in need.
