All the ingredients and their quantities are added in English in the top left corner of the video. I’ve also tried to include instructions as a popup in English, so even if you don’t understand my language, you can follow along using the on-screen prompts.

A quick note: when I mention “spoon,” it refers to a teaspoon unless stated otherwise. You’ll see teaspoons used throughout, but whenever tablespoons are used, I’ve specifically mentioned it. These quantities pop up on the top left.

For reference:
• tablespoon = tbsp AND teaspoons = tsp
• 1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons
• 1 teaspoon = 5 ml (liquids).

Remember, the weight of spices or dry ingredients may vary, so it’s best to measure using teaspoons or tablespoons to maintain consistency in the recipe.

Indian cuisine consists of various regional and traditional cuisines native to the Indian subcontinent. Given the diversity in soil, climate, culture, ethnic groups, and occupations, these cuisines vary substantially. Even a butter chicken from two different states may taste totally different but I’m from the Punjab region in India, so most of my recipes have a Punjabi touch. My videos aim to showcase how food is traditionally made in Punjabi homes.

All of my recipes are Vegan, Vegetarian, Egg, Fish or Chicken-based. I do not make recipes for beef and/or pork.

I live in Canada and make cooking videos targeting North American, UK, and Australian audiences. Many international students and people of the Indian diaspora are away from home and struggle to cook food, as we’re not used to making it ourselves—our mothers used to take care of that back home. While I can’t replace the warmth and love of your mom’s cooking, I can help you recreate those comforting dishes with easy, home-style recipes that bring back the taste of home.
My recipes might seem a bit hard at first, especially for beginners or people new to Indian cooking, but once you get some spices and basic ingredients, they become much easier to make.

All the ingredients used in my videos are often bought from nearby stores like Walmart, FreshCo, Costco, or Real Canadian Superstore, so you should have no trouble finding them too!

Check out my videos and let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions on how I can make these videos even simpler. Share with friends who love Indian food but have never tried making it at home! If you are looking for any specific recipe, you can comment and I always try to take suggestions from the comments section.
