Featheren Episode 2 ~ Dawn of Day

Meet the second protagonist of the series, Leon (of Solaris)! He is a featheren of the Crest tribe, and when he's not being carefree and riding the winds over Hoodoo Canyons, he spends his time reading and listening to stories from his Elder friend.

It took more than a year, but this episode is FINALLY finished! It is really evident how much I've learned and improved throughout the video, since starting it a few months after getting my drawing tablet until now.

Story:
Instead of working to pay for his own food and shelter like most featheren his age would, Leon prefers gathering nuts and berries from the forest and sleep-piling with other aimless males during the cold nights to stay warm. One morning, after heading into the Dark Pine Forest to begin scavenging, he comes across deep clawmarks gauged into the trunk of a tree, along with several black feathers. Somewhat spooked, Leon heads back to the Hoodoo canyons, where he finds Elder and explains the clawmarks he found. After confirming what the markings looked like, Elder presents Leon with a theory: The claw marks and feathers belong to a demon that was probably spawned near some ancient ruins. Taking the manuscript on demons, Leon ventures back to the Forest to find the deadly creature. If what Elder said was true, and he found that demon, SURELY the rest of the featheren would give Leon their respect. Right?

Featheren is a book I've been working on but I'm still debating weather to begin publishing it. In the meantime, I'll animate it!
