Allegedly entering their home under a pretext, McGriff reportedly restrained and stabbed Frank in the basement, attacked Maureen on the first floor, and set fires in both areas, leading to their deaths. He confessed to molesting the couple and was arrested two days later in Manhattan, charged with multiple counts of murder, kidnapping, burglary, arson, and robbery.
