What is yoga? This question is asked often. Why Amrit Yoga verses other systems. In this video Kamini shares with you how yoga has a tremendous power to manage stress, anxiety and reaction. This is a skill that is used, Yoga is not just done on the mat, it is a practice everywhere. The benefits of yoga are many from surface level strength and fitness to a much deeper level of calming the mind, lowering stress, finding harmony with others by finding harmony with self. There are countless benefits to yoga-the only way to know them is to practice them.

You don't need to be fit or a sportsman or woman to practice Amrit Yoga as our yoga is not focused on competition or poses, but on being and feeling...non judgement or thinking. It is really about just being with the sensation and witnessing what is..reality.

Our stress is not caused by certain events, but our reaction to the event.

Amrit Yoga takes you into the deeper dimensions, the inner dimension of yoga. To move from pose to pose is not the purpose. The purpose is to feel the sensation in the pose, to be with it and stop the fight or flight response. Observe it.

Instead of changing what you feel is causing the stress, the common denominator is YOU. Therefore the magic of yoga, is learning to be with what is and being ok with what is. The second half of the pose is the relaxation and integration. Then then you move in flow from tension to relaxation a balance. Both are needed but often we live in one of these.
