Yuba Mundo VS Bike Friday Haul A Day Review

Описание к видео Yuba Mundo VS Bike Friday Haul A Day Review

We here at Bike Friday are always learning and always testing to ensure we are making the best bikes possible. A big market that has opened-up for us is the cargo bike or utility bike market. We started our business with Burly because Alan wanted to haul his daughter along with him while on rides.

Having this basis, that families should ride together, is still at our core though most of us know us as a travel bike company, the Haul-A-Day is something that is bringing us full-circle. To the point, you don't need the trailer anymore but you are now able to bring them along right on the bike.

There are so many great cargo bike companies on the market right now that it's hard to ride them all but our new marketing director happens to still own his Yuba Mundo still(which is now called the classic) and just had a Haul-A-Day built for him. Now that he has over 60 miles of riding under his belt on the new bike he figured it was a great time to give a basic review.

In the end, it's the boss of the house wins this battle and pretty soon there will be another horse in the stable before the misses steals his new bike. Though the Mundo has been a great bike and a trusty steed, it's the Haul-A-Day that wins the day when it comes to ease-of-use because of low center of gravity, smaller wheels which are easier to get rolling(it really matters when you have 70-110 pounds of kids/groceries on the back), shorter step-through height(really matters for anyone 5'10" or shorter though our reviewer is 6'2" and it made a difference for him) and when riding you feel the difference the most when you have a kiddo moving around on the back...you don't even feel it on the BF but you really feel it on the Mundo.

Both great bikes from great bike builders depending on your intended use. If you need to carry really heavy loads the Mundo wins in that dept but that is why it weights so much as well as it's built like a tank. As-is the Mundo is about 70lbs. and the Haul-A-Day is 62lbs.(that is with bags with snacks, tools, sound system, E-Assist system, etc...). The bonus of the BF is that it breaks down for travel so it can go with you anywhere you want to ride in the world.

What more do you need?
