PCEM V.17: Celeron 533 Emulation with a I7-13700KF

[Synopsis]

In this video, I test PCEM V17 with my Intel I7-13700KF computer running a number of games emulating a Celeron 533 w 3dfx Voodoo 3 2000 16 MB running Windows 98.

The Celeron 533 has a higher frequency compared to the Pentium II 450; however, it has less L1 and L2 cache compared to the Pentium II 450. The Pentium II 450 MHz has 544 kb of L1 + L2 cache while the Celeron 533 had 160 kb of L1 + L2 cache. The Pentium II 450 MHz has 3.4 times more cache compared to a Celeron 533, and this is why the Celeron 533 cost less. This is why a Xeon processor costs more than a I7 or I9 processor, Xeons are used for servers and workstations, so they have more cache memory. Having more cache on the CPU improves performance, it would be like having extra cores on a processor.

In this test, I will see if the higher frequency affects performance in relation to the computer I am using to emulate the Celeron 533.
