Every January, the iconic streets of Malay (Boracay Island), Lezo, Malinao, Altavas, Batan, Makato, Ibajay, Kalibo come alive with the energy of 'Sadsad' as Aklanons unite in celebration of the Ati-Atihan Festival.

This visual presentation is accompanied by 'PATIK IT PAGDAYAW' – a percussive orchestration composed and produced by Kristina Yari Aborka under the creative direction of Musyon Film Productions, that pays homage to the generations of Aklanon Ati-Atihan drumming bands. This composition is a musical journey that featured sampled music from “Happy Days Are Here Again” composed by Milton Ager, Mitzie Welch, Ken Welch, a song that has become part of Aklanon tradition in celebration the festival from one generation to another.

The composition then builds, accompanied by the timeless chants of the Ati of Aklan, showcasing the indigenous community's deep 'panaad' to the Sto. Niño, brilliantly capturing the nostalgia of the festival through its lively Allegro percussion and string orchestration.

In the grand finale, the tourism song 'Feel Alive, Feel Aklan' composed by Xyna Zolina-Faminiano and performed by Xytonics Band, was added to symbolize the true heartbeat and spirit of the Aklanons.

Musyon eon sa Probinsya it Aklan! Feel Alive, Feel Aklan!

This project is funded by the Aklan Provincial Government through the Aklan Provincial Tourism Office, in partnership with the Municipal Mayors and Tourism Officers/Designates of 8 municipalities and the Musyon Film Productions.
