Thank you for watching my review and swatches of the new Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette. The new Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette is currently available at Sephora. The new Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette retails for $60 for a total of 21 shadows. In the new Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette you get 9 metal crush shadows and 13 matte shadows. Each pan in the new Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette is 1.7 grams so a price of approx. $2.85 per pan (compare that to MAC eyeshadows of 1.5 grams for $6). Overall, I think the 9 metal crushed eyeshadows in the new Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette are really great and up to par with the individuals in the KVD collection. However, I think the majority of the 13 matte shadows in the new Kat Von D Metal Matte Eyeshadow Palette are below par and not as good as the prior year holiday palette or the shade and light eye palette. They apply patchy, not as opaque and not as saturated and take longer to blend out on the eyelid because of the patchiness. Overall, they are not horrible shadows but just not as good as the original formula in my opinion. Which is why if people have other palettes and love that formula they will notice a difference. If someone doesn't have any palettes they may notice it's not as easy to blend but they're not the worst mattes in the world. To me there's just a difference in how they apply between this formula and other palettes.
