The Women in African Power (WiAP) Increasing Connections webinar series aims to strengthen the role of women in Africa's energy sector by building the professional skills of women active in Africa’s energy sector.

In WiAP's third webinar, "Understanding Power Project Finance", participants will be introduced to Power Africa’s Understanding Power Project Financing handbook. This handbook focuses on the financing structures and mechanisms that can be employed to finance power projects.

The introduction to the Handbook will be accompanied by presentations from two WiAP members who will speak to their experience in energy finance.

Power Africa is a U.S. Government-led partnership aimed at adding 30,000 megawatts of electricity generation capacity and 60 million new home and businesses connections across sub-Saharan Africa.
