The finished product. Upgrading a 38 year old Hy-Gain Ham IV Rotator control box and bringing it up to par with currently available rotor controllers costing over US$600 1 old rotor controller + a US$18 Arduino ATMega 2560 clone + a US$95 color touch screen shield + US$87 Relay\Serial\Motor Driver interface(s) and Arduino software package designed by EA7HG Eugenio in Spain + a few hours of soldering some wires and some troubleshooting = a rotor controller with all the features of one that would cost approx US$900 to buy new. Here is my final test before popping the covers back on the rotor controller. Ready for deployment!


NOTE: I didn't go with the LAN interface option that also allows control via controller hosted web server as well as the ability to control the Rotor with your Android device. Cool fetures, but just not in line with how I operate my station in my shack! EA7HG Eugenio has really put together a "near professional" quality product! Thanks Eugenio!
