Robert Edsel: "Saving Italy" and "The Monuments Men"

Robert M. Edsel, founder and president of the Monuments Men Foundation for the Preservation of Art, is the author of several non-fiction books on the heroic rescue and preservation of European art treasures during WWII. In this May 2013 appearance at the Pritzker Military Museum & Library, Edsel discusses his books "Saving Italy: The Race to Rescue a Nation's Treasures from the Nazis" and "The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History," now a major motion picture directed by and starring George Clooney, to be released Feb. 7, 2014.
