BLINDING LIGHTS TUTORIAL (YAMAHA MODX-MONTAGE, ROLAND FANTOM 06) COVER BAND SHORT CUTS

Are you in a cover band? Although this is for Yamaha-Roland products most of the information applies for any manufacturer. I play Blinding Lights in a cover band. I use a Yamaha MODX-8 and it sounds very close to the synthesizer sound on the record. Identical, as it pertains to the "Yayli" preset. I split the MODX into three sections. The opening sound is note F-octave at the low end of the keyboard. The pad/choir sounds are in the middle. The synth-pop lead is played above C4. The MODX is MIDI out to the Fantom and it is preset to Shine Pad. During the performance I play left hand chords and right hand lead and the sync and polyphony limitations and sustain pedal do the rest.
