Sounds of the letters of Urdu alphabet have been sung in rhythm to help children learn them easily. Each sound is repeated 4 times for reinforcement.
Knowing the sounds of individual letters is the first step in learning to read Urdu. The letter ‘Hamza ء ’ has not been included as there is no word that begins with it and in reading it is used as an inflection mark rather than a letter. Its sound is similar to the letter ع.
