The China Media Group (CMG) held a commemorative meeting on Wednesday to mark the 60th anniversary of the China Central Television (CCTV) in Beijing.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, in his congratulatory letter, called on the CMG and people working in the television industry nationwide to strive for building world-class media.
