A giant called "Korn" is the toast of Thailand after collecting
his fourth Water Buffalo Racing Championship. The only race of its
kind in the world, the annual event at Chonburi heralds the end of
the country's wet season. It is also a huge social event on the
Thai calendar. This year, over 5000 people spent over four hours in torrential rains to watch 159 buffaloes from 50 farms test their speed. The rough-riding rice farmers who race their buffalo wear no protective clothing and have to cling to their charges with just one piece of rope.
