OFFICIAL RULES OF THE BRAD ANDERSON DIDDY POLE TOURNAMENT
1. This is a team event. Teams can consist of 1-3 people. $120.00 per boat.
2. In any case of extreme water/weather conditions, tournament officials reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event.
3. We will have a meeting the day of the tournament at TBD. There you can sign up, review the rules and sign your waiver if you haven't already. Cash payment will be accepted if we haven't reached our 30 boat max. Please see Facebook or email Dillon Hilsabeck for specifics.
4. All tournament anglers must be off the tournament waters 18 hours prior to the start of the tournament. (6pm on May 23th)
5. All teams must compete from a boat for running diddys. This year you MAY rod and reel from the banks around your campsite or from the boat as well. Still just one rod per person.
6. All fish must be caught by diddy poles (bank poles) and or rod/reel combos.
7. Anglers will be allowed to launch on tournament waters at 11am on May 24th, no fishing allowed until 12pm. All anglers must be to the weigh in line by 1pm on May 25th. Weigh ins will be in the order that you arrive and weigh ins will begin as soon as the tournament finishes at 12pm on May 25th.
8. Any legal commercial or natural bait will be allowed.
9. Fish must be a minimum of 15” in length to be weighed.
10. Channel cats and Flathead may be weighed.
11. There’s a team limit of 3 fish maximum and the fish must be alive to weigh in.
12. No culling at boat ramp or the weigh-in. No dead fish will be allowed at the weigh in and all the fish must be suitable for release per officials’ discretion, or they will not be weighed. (All fish will be released)
13. Fish must be carried to weigh station in coolers or tubs with Spring or conditioned water proportionate to the size of fish. No stringers allowed at the weigh station or to keep fish alive while you are fishing. No stringers allowed period.
14. Each participant may only use 3 diddy poles and 1 rod and reel.
15. Once you have set a diddy pole you may NOT remove it until you are ready to be done fishing. No poles may be set, then moved and set again.
16. Big fish breaks heavy stringer tie, heavy stringer breaks big fish tie.
17. Tournament directors or any participants can protest any team before 1pm on May 26th, if unable to resolve the protest tournament director will appoint a 3 person committee to hear both sides and make a decision. The decision of the committee is final.
18. All fishing must be done between the boat ramp just north of HWY 175 and HWY 17.
19. No touching other participants diddy poles or you will be disqualified.
20. No diddy pole may be set within 100ft (by your best judgment) of another teams diddy pole. Just be respectful.
21. First come, first serve at all boat ramps. If other tournament participants get there before you, do not launch your boat before them unless they have given you permission to do so.
22. Tournament director or sponsors are not responsible for deaths, injuries, liability, theft, damages, or any loss of any kind to participants. BY SIGNING THE ENTRY FORM YOU RELEASE ALL PROMOTERS OF ALL LIABILITY.
23. All three winning teams will receive cash payouts and prizes as listed **MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE PRIZE MONEY, GEAR, & SWAG**
