Centaur Warrunner is the first hero to no longer need Boots as his Core Items according to 8K MMR pro players. The logic comes down to his new Facet where for every Strength he gains, he also gets a bit of movement speed increase. For a hero with one of the highest Strength gains in Dota 2, it's actually pretty insane to give him one more synergistic reason to build more Strength and survivability. Now with skipping boots, you can get your items earlier and more importantly, start tearing up fights in the mid-game much earlier. But that means you sacrifice your early-game opportunities like you had with the old Double Edge and Hoof Stomp.
