JB11 : HOTPLATE SCRIBBLES & JOHN'S ARTWORK
Let your mind go free! Watch John Buckland do just that here by utilising the possibilities that encaustic art offers when practised on a hotplate using white card substrate and wax block colours. There is no end to imagination. Perhaps John has helped inspire you to be active in your own version of Exploring Ideas. We hope so.

Exploring Ideas was a concept DVD that looked at a wider vista of possibilities in the days when the encaustic arts were on the rise. Twenty years later numerous artists and hobbyists around the world have discovered and used this uniquely versatile medium of molten wax. So many approaches have come to light.

John Buckland is a master of Encaustic Hotplate work, especially onto card and other thinner surfaces and substrates. This is the final clip of the eleven demonstrated by John Buckland, and taken from the Exploring Ideas DVD filmed in 2005 by Michael Bossom.
