Thanthirimale Rajamaha Viharaya is an ancient Buddhist temple in the Anuradhapura District of Sri Lanka. The temple is known for its historical significance, as it dates back to the 3rd century BCE, during the reign of King Devanampiyatissa.

The temple complex is famous for its rock carvings, including a large reclining Buddha statue carved out of granite rock. Tantirimale is also associated with the arrival of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi sapling from India, as it is believed that the sapling was temporarily kept here on its way to Anuradhapura. The site is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, including large boulders, ancient ruins, and a serene environment. It is a significant pilgrimage site and a place of historical interest in Sri Lanka.
