In the mid-2000s there was a myth about the Sony PS1 SCPH-1001 being an audiophile cd player... This rumor will be tested, evaluated, measured, and revealed in this video. Joining me on my journeys with the PS1 is Mike Galusha who spearheaded the linear power supply upgrade we gave the unit, as well as John Devore who was the original audiophile that brought this Hifi gem to many audiophiles in the 2000s.
