Описание к видео [4K/60fps] A Day on the Strasburg Railroad with N&W 475 and The Queen of Steam, N&W 611!

On November 12, we headed North into Lancaster County to railfan the Strasburg Railroad, which is the oldest shortline railroad in the United States. Strasburg Rail Road (Norfolk and Western) 475 is a 4-8-0 "Mastodon" type steam locomotive owned and operated by the Strasburg Rail Road (SRC) in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. Built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in June 1906, it was part of the Norfolk & Western Railroad's (N&W) first order of M class numbered 375–499. No. 475 currently remains as the oldest operating steam locomotive on the SRC, running tourist excursion trains in the Pennsylvania Dutch countryside. Norfolk and Western 611, also known as the "Spirit of Roanoke" and the "Queen of Steam", is a Norfolk and Western (N&W) class J 4-8-4 "Northern" streamlined steam locomotive built in May 1950 by the N&W's East End Shops in Roanoke, Virginia. It was one of the last mainline passenger steam locomotives built in the United States and represents the pinnacle of steam locomotive technology. 475 and 611 were pulling excursion trains from Strasburg Station to Paradise and back. At the beginning of the video we are making a little intro with entering the state of Pennsylvania, and ending the video a=with the locomotives switching right next to an old Pennsy signal that operates and the J Tower. Make sure to like and subscribe! Enjoy!
