L/S Victor Mark IIs (V-bombers) on tarmac RAF (Royal Air Force) base. Pan to C/U of them. Panning shot RAF officers arriving at operations centre.



Interior. L/S as officers - the Quick Reaction Alert crew - walking along corridors to vault. Officer knocks on door. C/U as door is opened from inside. Another officer hands out the "Go Bag", containing information crew needs to go into action. M/S crew go into target study room, they shut the door for a top secret meeting.



Panning shot Blue Steel nuclear missile on carrier. L/S missile by the aircraft. Panning C/U the missile. C/U Blue Steel trainer room. Interior: the crew in trainer room. Pan to C/U of principle officer holding "Go-Bag". Various C/Us loud speakers as scramble call is announced. M/S alert crew in trainer room running out. L/S another crew having their lunch, they hear the alert and run out. C/U half-eaten dinner getting cold.



C/U QRA crew car driving out. Panning L/S car drives away. L/S ground crew running from huts. L/S as they run past camera towards aeroplanes. C/U guard dog and military policeman. L/S ground crew preparing bombers for take off. C/U members of ground crew opening aircraft door. L/S QRA crew arriving in car. They get out and run to aircraft. Elevated shot crew running up steps to aircraft. C/U ditto. M/S chocs being pulled away. C/U member of ground crew watching. Panning shot Victor bomber taxiing. Panning shot first Victor takes off. Pan another Victor plane takes off.
