On this second episode, let me present the conversation with Vikramsinh Sodha who is a naturalist from Gujrat. He is based out of Bhuj, Gujrat. We travelled GRK (3 days) and Mandvi (1 day) during 23-26 December 2023 and saw 126 birds. We also saw Jungle Cat and Jackals a few times. He himself played the role of our guide and also drove the vehicle. We stayed in his property Kunj Homestay near Bhuj and I must say it is a top class place to stay. I took this interview on 25-December-2023 during our mid-day break post lunch at GRK – East Bunni Grassland. The backdrop was the White Rann of Kachchh, GRK is famous for.

I found Vikram highly knowledgeable about the wildlife in that area. As he mentioned, he loves exploration and during the 4 days he shared a lot of experience on the habitat, behaviour, food habits and complex ecological matters around it. I came back with a lot of knowledge from this trip above and beyond the sightings. He also does astrophotography and landscapes and I strongly suggest you explore GRK for those options as well.
