Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back Playthrough (NES) (Deathless)

The 2nd of 2 Star Wars games on NES. Being a huge fan of Star Wars and the Super Star Wars games on SNES (see my other playthroughs...) when I found out there was SW games on the NES I had to give them a try. Well, they were different then the SNES games...and a hell of a lot more difficult! This game somewhat bears a resemblance to Metroid namely due to the fact that you must explore a large open level collecting new Force abilities in order to advance, with some levels having multiple paths leading to the exit. The difficulty largely lies in conserving your Force power and health while dealing with somewhat confusing and difficult level layout (the platforming in Dagobah is just hell...) and some stiff controls. But I have come to really enjoy this game and had no expectations of doing this game without dying especially after spending about 2-3 weeks relearning it, so having beat it without dying while recording it for the first time was an absolute surprise of the highest order lol. Just a shame they never made a Return Of The Jedi for NES to finish the trilogy... Very happy with this one!
