Many students who could not get government medical college are asking whether they should participate in all india deemed university counselling or state management quota counselling for private colleges. Based on two important factors you should decide whether you should choose all india quota deemed university counselling or state private college counselling. The first factor is the total number of private medical colleges located in your state. If your state has more than 5 private colleges, then you can apply under state private college counselling. If it is less than 3, then your only chance is deemed university counselling as most of the states allots their private college mbbs seats to students who belong to that state. Another important factor is the percentage of state quota subsidized seats in the state.
For example, in tamilnadu 50% of the seats are alloted under state govt quota with subsidized tuition fees of Rs 4 lakhs/annum. If you state has state govt quota in private colleges, then students should prefer that as there will be reservation for state govt quota seats. Many states have regularized the private college mgmt quota as well as NRI quota fees. If your state have fixed ceiling for tuition fees, then you should prefer private colleges.
