National Organisation for Social empowerment in association with Mukti ek nai saoch a Delhi based NGO working for women empowerment, organized a free health camp in honor of the occasion of International women's day at vijaynagar on 12th of March 2015. Children from slum area of Rajpura near North Campus were brought in for a dental and a routine hygiene session at health camp .
The health camp started with an interactive session by Dr. Nikhil Aggarwal (M.B.B.S) on hygiene . Kids learned about the hygiene through fun and games . Doctors tried to keep the session interactive and learning for the kids .The children were also given consolatory toothbrush & toothpaste, to maintain oral hygiene properly on a routine day-to- day basis
Dr. Deepika Aggarwal (B.D.S. gold medalist) of Smile Ever Dental Clinic ,along with Dr. Nikhil Aggarwal (M.B.B.S) attended patiently to the needs of 30 children aged between 5-14. The Doctors highly appreciated the joint venture of both the organizations and readily agreed to be available for such health camps in future.
Many kids were diagnosed for immediate treatment , Aman Singh, founder of National Organisation for Social empowerment announced to give free treatment for those children who needed it urgently . He also added to organize monthly health camps for the kids living in slums and provide free treatment for those who cannot afford it .
