The Princess Royal, Princess Anne gave the Royal approval when she officially opened the Fleetwood Nautical Campus, after the completion of £ 8.2m worth of improvements to the building at Fleetwood in Lancashire. The Campus includes an Environmental training tank,used by students to simulate accidents in the water . The tank I understand has also been used in the past by TV and Film units,to film realistic scenes for drama taking place in the water.The Campus is highly specialised in Maritime and Nautical studies along with offshore rescue /survival.and is a part of the Blackpool and The Fylde College.
