WordPress + AMP: How to add Accelerated Mobile Pages to your Website

Accelerated Mobile Pages, is a brand new project Google launched with intention to boost the speed at which a webpage loads on mobile devices. A rival project to Facebook Instant Article is also open source and can be integrated with any websites. With AMP integration, Google's own CDN caches the content from your site and serve that page to the client instead of fetching the content each and every time from your server. This also reduces the burden on your Server and makes your page load faster.

For WordPress users, now there is a plugin that can create AMP page for your website within a few clicks. The plugin-generated AMP page can also be customized to best suite your taste.

Interestingly, Google has also partnered with many other platforms so that it can integrate so many third party extensions into the project. Now the project also supports many ad platforms with special amp ad tag and attributes, so that the google cdn won't cache this tag and makes sure the ads are served properly. The project also supports social embeds like YouTube and Twitter and has included select scripts that enable the features. The project doesn't let you integrate scripts from other websites though.
