Texture Analysis with XRD

Texture analysis in X-ray diffraction is used to asses the orientation distribution of crystallites that make up a material. The degree of orientation has a large affect on performance, so ensuring material processing induces the correct texture is important in material optimization. This video includes a basic introduction to texture measurement and analysis including the generation of pole figures, texture modeling, and orientation distribution function (ODF) analysis.
