I asked several people what genre this song is and each person said something completely different. So, I'm just going to call this song an electro-RnB cozy pop EDM-lite with a hint of rock(???)

This song went through several rewrites, revisions, remixes, and reimaginings over the course of the last 3 years. I was fueled by a desire to make a song that others would love to hear over and over again. This well-intended, self-imposed expectation to make something good... ended up paralyzing me from making anything at all.

Eventually, I realized that if I wanted to work on many more projects in the future, I had put SOMETHING out NOW -- that the only way to improve the quality of your art is to make a ton of crap quickly and learn from it AFTER it has been set in stone. Honestly, I'm not very impressed with this song -- in fact, there are so many things I am itching to "fix". But I have decided to swallow my pride, call it "good enough", and send it out into the world.

In the final stages of preparing this song for release, I rediscovered my joy of just making things for fun and I arrived at a personal truth: (being extremely dramatic here) if my music makes just one person feel slightly better about themselves and their day, then it has already served a great purpose.

So, I hope this song has made your world a little less stressful and look a little more brighter.
And I'm sure you'll feel better tomorrow.
