We finally found time to go camping in Al Qudra Lake We went on a weekday, Al Qudra is only about 01 Hours 30 minutes’ drive from the Union yet when you get there, you really feel like you are far from the hustle and bustle of the city. I would definitely recommend camping in the UAE dessert, it is the perfect way to unwind and relax and the best part about it is it is free!
What is the best time to visit Al Qudra Lake?
The best preferable time to visit Al Qudra Lake has to be during the winters. During the winter months, the sun is not scorching bright and the climate is at its best to stroll around the authentic desert.
Entry into Al Qudra Lake is free for everyone. Even though there is no Al Qudra entry fee applicable now, one must keep in mind that certain activities, like renting bikes, are charged as per the vendor's discretion.
Where is Qudra Lake located?
Al Qudra Lakes are located in the desert, around 10 miles east of Al Maktoum International Airport. It is at the end of the D63 Al Qudra Road (starts at Arabian Ranches). No buses go near the lakes. The only practical way to get to Al Qudra Lakes is by car.
