Another fantastic, yet sad, livery on offer at Manchester Airport recently is this hybrid livery between the current Thomas Cook 'Sunny Heart' livery, and the ceased British Airline, Monarch's livery.

In October 2017, Britain woke up with the extremely sad news that one of it's largest airlines, Monarch, would stop trading with immediate effect after falling bankrupt. This was a terrible event as thousands of people lost their jobs, as well as the skies loosing this fantastic airline forever. At the time of closure, Monarch had 35 aircraft which were either returned to lessor or put up for sale.

Thomas Cook Airlines ended up purchasing 4 of the ex Monarch aircraft which were in storage at Newquay. The airline have been unable to repaint the aircraft into the full Thomas Cook livery due to the fact Air Livery is fully booked until November, meaning that only the decals were applied, giving this fantastic looking hybrid livery.

This example, G-TCVB, only began commercial operations with Kestrel the day prior to this video, with G-TCVD being in operation for about 2 weeks. G-TCVB was delivered directly to Monarch from Airbus in 2013 as a new-build aircraft.
