A traditional tune known by a few different names (The Blackest Crow, My Dearest Dear, and The Time Draws Near) that came into being throughout Appalachia and the Ozarks after the U.S. Civil War in the mid 1800s.

This was one of the songs we rehearsed throughout the Fall 2022 semester in the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Ensemble, and I figured it'd be a shame not to record it! It ain't perfect, but we had a good time with it, and that's how bluegrass/old time music is supposed to be!

About Thomas Francisco:
I'm a singer and guitarist from Louisville, Kentucky with influences from artists like the Beatles, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, the Eagles, and Led Zeppelin. I got into music when I learned how to play guitar at age 16 and now I'm currently 20 years old and a junior at the University of Kentucky where I'm minoring in vocal and guitar performance. My dream is to write and perform my own music someday soon!
