Описание к видео Interview with NASA's former Associate Administrator - Joe Rothenberg - BIP Intro Ep. 72

Interview with NASA's former Associate Administrator - Joe Rothenberg - BIP Intro Ep. 72

I’m deeply honored to be welcoming Joe Rothenberg on my platform.
From January 1998 until his retirement he was Associate Administrator of NASA for Space Flight in charge of NASA's Human Exploration and Development of Space.

Joe retired from NASA in December of 2001 and is currently an Independent Consultant.

Before being named the Associate Administrator for Space Flight, he had been serving as the Director of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center since July 1995.

Before joining Goddard in April 1995, he served as Executive Vice President of Computer Technology Associates, Inc., Space Systems Division, McLean, Virginia, a position he held from February 1994 to April 1995
He was the leading force behind the miracle, which was the first and successful servicing mission of the Hubble Space Telescope.

From 1990 to 1994, he was Associate Director of Flight Projects for the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) at Goddard. In this position, he was responsible for directing all aspects of the HST Project.

He began his career with Grumman Aerospace in 1964 where he managed the development and operations of the aerospace ground equipment for the Orbiting Astronomical Observatory series of Goddard spacecraft.

He was the recipient of the NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 1990, in 1994 and 2000, he received NASA Distinguished Service Medals, and, in 1995 and 2001 he received NASA Outstanding Leadership Medals and the Senior Executive Service Presidential Rank Meritorious Executive Awards.

In 1997, he received the Presidential Rank Distinguished Executive Award.

This interview isn’t short. It’s 5.5 hours long!

I have split it into 3 different episodes, each touching on 3 different aspects of Joe’s incredible 6-decade-long career, the mountains of challenges he encountered, the failures, major project wins, how he developed his leadership style and what legacy he wants to leave behind!

Episode 1 – Building an Impactful Aerospace Career is going live on the 6th of May.

Never to this day have I done an interview to this depth of detail.
I hope you enjoy it!
