Diamond Jim (1965)

This was the pilot episode for a proposed adventure series for the ABC network, which failed to materialize. It told a fictionalized account of James Buchanan "Diamond Jim" Brady (1856-1917), an American businessman and philanthropist.

In "Skullduggery in Samantha", Diamond Jim (Dale Robertson of "Tales of Wells Fargo" and "Iron Horse" fame) gets hired by a railroad tycoon to finish the buildout of a rail line to a silver boomtown in Colorado by a set deadline. A rival railroad and hired bandits stand in the way.
