Accu - Next Generation Engineers | Southampton University Formula Student Team Video

In this video, we are proud to share the story of Southampton University Formula Student Team (SUFST) who competed at the IMechE Formula Student event held at the world renowned Silverstone circuit in July 2019.

We spoke to Aeronautical Engineering student, Anokh Vithayathil, who acted as SUFST's Head of PR/ Sponsorship for the 2018-19 season. The short interview with Anokh was filmed in the pit area at Silverstone during the FS 2019 event weekend. Anokh will be continuing his work with SUFST for 2019-20, this time as Chief Engineer and Accu look forward to continuing this partnership.

Formula Student (FS) is Europe's most established educational engineering competition, offering young engineers the chance to test their knowledge and skills within the motorsport industry. The annual UK competition provides an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on engineering experience to prepare for the transition into a career in engineering, following completion of their studies.

SUFST finished in the Top 20 at the FS UK event before heading to Europe to compete in both FS Germany and FS Czech Republic - where they finished 10th and were the Top UK team at the Czech event.

Accu is proud to have sponsored SUFST for the 2018-19 academic year, in which the University of Southampton team managed to beat their highest points record for the 4th successive year.

Accu will be continuing their sponsorship of Southampton University Formula Student Team for the 2019-20 academic year and look forward to seeing the progress for the team's next Formula Student racing car.

This has been an exciting project for Accu to support and we look forward to seeing the SUFST team members, past and present, hone their skills and develop their engineering careers.
