This is the follow up to our last video where we did a seriously enjoyable session with Devon Burns, Kerry Minor GK 2019.
In this part of the session we focused mainly on the technique for 1v1 saves - when we have closed down the space between us and the attacker and we need to stay big and hard to beat.
We then brought this into our shotstopping where we had to decide when to 'set', when to 'rush' and when to spread.
About halfway through you will see us with our back turned to the attacker initially - this forces us to identify the danger asap and get down the line of the ball before deciding the best course of action.
We finished with some kicking work - focusing on the 2-3 step run up and being hard to read. We had poles placed on both wings and these were our targets where the runner would be gathering the ball.
